FANCOURT
Initially, residential property at Fancourt was defined
by the gracious Cape Dutch Design thatched houses (gabled
and ungabled) that overlook the fairways of the Outeniqua
and Montagu courses. Due to popularity, the portfolio
of property options available to potential buyers has
expanded somewhat, including Oaklands Village, Links
Ridge, Gentleman’s Estate and a new development,
Montagu Ridge.
The architectural elements of the individual developments
has moved away from the original Cape Dutch theme (Oaklands
Village is inspired by Provence, while Links Ridge is
clean and contemporary å la Frank Lloyd Wright),
a stylish chain still links them all. The golden thread
that runs through all the Fancourt developments is the
fact that the designs have a timeless quality. There
is a classic theme, and it sets Fancourt in a class
of its own as far as golf estate developments are concerned.
There is no doubt that the designs, excellent construction
and fine finishes of Fancourt’s properties have
only added to their appeal and value.
Cape Dutch – Houses are gabled or Cape contemporary
design. The external white walls are complemented by
the thatch roofs.
Links Ridge – The contemporary style captures
earthy coloured external walls with elegant slate roofs.
Gentleman’s Estate – Dwellings either in
Cape Dutch thatch-roof design or the more modern contemporary
and streamlined Links Ridge design with slate roofs
and earth-toned walls.
Oaklands – With earthy coloured external walls
and tiles roofs, these dwellings enjoy privacy and a
village type atmosphere much like a French Provencal
Village.
